Undereye correctors: Giorgio Armani and Bobbi Brown

{Giorgio Armani master corrector in shade 02}

Peach/apricot correctors are my best friends. They erase my hereditary dark pigmentation that I have under my eyes, and my plan is to try all of them out there. So far I've only tried two (that was because I was so loyal to Bobbi Brown's corrector and had a hard time moving on..but more on that later). Recently, I decided picked up Giorgio Armani's master corrector in their peach shade. I love it for what Bobbi Brown's corrector didn't do.. but of course it has some cons. So...still deciding if this is worth $38 USD.
Formula For a liquid concealer, this is extremely opaque yet it is so easy to blend.
Coverage Brightens up the under eye area but doesn't cover my dark circles as well as Bobbi Brown corrector. However, this is expected for a liquid concealer.
Packaging For such an expensive item, I would've liked a fancier packaging than a regular looking tube of concealer. I do like that the brush applicator is extremely thin so that you won't dot on too much product.
Finish It has a very natural looking finish without having a "undereye concealer" look. It also does not crease like Bobbi Brown's corrector does.

Besides the fact that it doesn't cover as well as BB does and its limited color selection of the peach shade, I really like this corrector and it'll probably be the closest I'll ever get to the best corrector on the market. For those who have sleep-deprived or very minor dark circles, I imagine this is enough coverage and will definitely brighten up your eyes.

Not long after I bought my 2nd one of this did I realize I need to find a better corrector. When I first got it, I loved it. It completely and magically erased all of my under eye circles. But, this creased like mad only after several hours of wearing it. I can't even tell you how badly it looks after a long day of laughing/smiling.
Formula & Finish It is super creamy. So creamy that it slips and slides and will need a powder to set. So creamy it settles right into fine lines. I've tried applying by finger, brush, dabbing, blending- all leads to the same result
Coverage Very thick opaque coverage. The peach shade is the perfect color to erase my brownish pigmentation.
Packaging I love the cute little compact with a mirror packaging. The mirror comes in handy (to touch up the creasing)

I have my eye on Lancome's waterproof protective undereye concealer next. The name already draws me in. What type of undereye correctors would you recommend?

white {on white}

{ wearing: Zara top and jeans, Bandolino wedges, Timex black skinny strap watch}

Sorry for being mia but I blame it on having blogger's block. I've also been busy toning up for summer and I was being an exercise nut for most of April.

For a clean and fresh start, a white on white pairing seems fitting for the occasion. I like how cool and crisp an outfit looks with all white.

also, Happy Mother's Day weekend!

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair

First, let me just say that rest of this post will be about how much I love Estee Laduer and this serum. I was planning to wait to do my review, but its effects are already apparent that I just had to share. I finally sucked it up and got it in the 30 mL, a 3 month supply. It's marketed to be an anti-aging and repair product. What I hoped this would do for my skin was to fade away my acne scars and to even out my skin tone. Within 2 days, I already felt a difference in my skin. In the morning I wake up to luminous, hydrated, baby soft skin. The idea is of this serum is to help support the natural process of repairing damaged skin during it's optimal time at night when our skin is not constantly using its efforts to protect us from UV light and other environmental assaults during the day. So far I've been using it for a week, and my scars have diminished significantly, my skin tone is more even, and it prevents me from breaking out. I also feel more at ease that I'm taking preventative, anti-aging measures with this as my insurance for healthier skin.
I also got a 10 day sample of Estee Lauder's new foundation Invisible Fluid. It is fragrance-free, SPF-free, and has oil-controlling properties.
Coverage: It is sheer to light coverage with natural skin and imperfections peeking through but tones imperfections and blemishes down.

Finish: Extremely natural, indeed a completely make-up free look. After blending right into the skin, it seems to have vanished and leaves your skin with a natural matte finish. I don't even feel like I'm wearing any makeup.
{blended in}

I didn't notice Estee Lauder products before since I thought it targeted an older age group, but I definitely changed my mind and will be on the lookout for more especially their skincare line. What are your fave Estee Lauder products?

photo log: what i've been wearing

1. new wooden wedge sandals from zara
2. opi's stranger tides polish
3. rimmel's airy fairy
4. my everyday rings and bracelets
5. sheer tops

I finally wore Stranger Tides for the first time after having bought it many months back. Realized this taupey, pale green from the Pirates of the Caribbean collection suits my skin tone pretty well. Airy Fairy has been my go to lipstick, even though I hated it at first because of its slightly frosty finish. Couple dabs of this however creates a mlbb kind of shade.
What have you guys been wearing?

floating circles

I try to stay away from fashion jewelry. Lesson learned from a pile collecting dust. Once in a while I come across some versatile ones, like this long and simple "floating circles" necklace from F21. It's lightweight, comparatively well made, and perfect for layering. Also bears a slight resemblance to the Lisa Taubes link chains. Dresses up the occasions without being too much. It's hard to be smart with buying "good" pieces, no?

the highline

Over the weekend, we stopped by the highline before getting some early dinner. It was so nice the first time we went at night that we went back for a walk while it was still light. So nice and relaxing to be enjoying the view from above. Ate some good new york thin crust pizza at Don's just across the street. No other pizza compares to new york pizza.
